The Youth Mobility Scheme/ India Young Professionals Scheme visa offers Indian citizens aged 18 to 30 the opportunity to reside and work in the UK for a maximum period of two years.

Prior to applying for this visa, individuals must first be chosen through the India Young Professionals Scheme ballot. To participate in the ballot, applicants must confirm their eligibility for the visa. Make sure to verify your eligibility before entering the ballot.

To be eligible for the visa, you must:

• be an Indian citizen
• be between 18 and 30 years old
• have an RQF6 equivalent or above qualification
• have £2,530 in savings

You can:

• work in most jobs
• study - for some courses, you’ll need an Academic Technology Approval Scheme certificate
• be self-employed and set up a company - as long as your premises are rented, your equipment is not worth more than £5,000 and you do not have any employees

The ballot is conducted twice annually.
